Okay, here's the deal. Some of us here at Savoy are married to genuine flybabies, and it's rubbing off on us. We're just a bunch of guys, but you should see us since the 27-fling boogie (can you imagine what a little thing like that does to a recording studio?) And you'll nary see a one of us not dressed all the way down to lace-up shoes. It's a heckuva way to live, and we thought we'd try to cook up a bit Christmas cheer for our flybaby friends at Flylady.net. We hope you enjoy the song. We're going to go shine our sinks.
lyrics
Across the land the snow descends
A hush just like an audience
The winter wind comes through the trees, oh how they sing...
The stockings lined up in a row,
Your evening is all set to go
The kitchen sink is glistening
Just like the snow
Fly baby fly, make this your Christmas lullaby
Routines are done the night is young
And now it's time to fly
the clothes are set – shoes in a line
And little hearts dream of Christmas time
The moonbeams just like memories
Over snow that's all aglow...
So fly baby fly, make this your Christmas lullaby
Routines are done the night is young
And now it's time to fly
The dreamers dream, the peace descends
Just like a dove, a grand Amen
Your night is planned and joy awaits
Among the Christmas dinner plates
So fly baby fly, make this your Christmas lullaby
Routines are done the night is young
And now it's time to fly
The Christmas hum of all that you've done, it simply blesses everyone.
Your house a Christmas home, a haven all your own...
Fly baby fly
This is your Christmas lullaby
Routines are done the night is young
And now it's time to fly
